Advanced Camp (Grades 7-12)
CCT's Advanced Imagination Camp Production for 2012 is the Broadway hit, "GREASE"
In this PERFORMANCE BASED experience, students will be charged with auditioning for, creating, rehearsing and staging a full length musical in just two weeks. Students will learn the essential skills needed to ace an audition, the tips and secrets to on-stage performance, as well as the songs, dialogue and choreography to the musical. Every student will receive an on-stage role in the production. While other aspects of musical theatre instruction will be included, much of the emphasis of Advanced Imagination Camp is placed in on-stage performance.
Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "T-Birds" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950's in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'", "It's Raining on Prom Night", "Alone at the Drive-In Movie" recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation.

Performances will be held on stage in the Duke Ellington Ballroom on the campus of NIU.
Cost:
$125 per student
Includes daily instruction, cast T-Shirt, Thursday night (6/27/13) dinner, and on-stage performance in 4 public performances.

At CCT's Advanced Imagination Camp, students will experience all aspects of producing a full-length musical in just two short weeks. Camp will begin with auditions and will end with four public performances. Campers will also take part in theatre education, playing and learning theatre games, improv, make-up design and much more! However, it is important to note, this is a PERFORMANCE based experience.
